I stumbled upon this quote yesterday and it really spoke to me. I've been hoping for a lot of things lately. Wishing that I could do this, and I could accomplish that. When I read this quote, I realized that I've been neglecting some very important steps in turning these hopes into a reality. Praying and believing. I guess I didn't realize that I can pray for things that are just hopes of mine. Prayer is not restricted to just the things that I need or for blessings on those going through hard times, although those things are very important. 

We can pray about anything.

But it doesn't just stop with prayer. It also requires belief. Belief in the form of action. So today I am going to not only start praying to achieve my goals and realize my dreams, I am also going to act and do everything I can to get me where I need to be, when I need to be there. Then Heavenly Father can guide me on the path to fulfilling my dreams.

Boston

Back in January Anna and I took a quick weekend trip to Boston. I knew I would think Boston was cool, but I did not expect how in LOVE with this city I would be after arriving there (and this is with two snow storms (minor, I will confess), and a 20 degree average the entire time we were there). Boston is just that great. All the charm and beauty of Europe, with all that great American convenience. Heaven, right? Or at least close to it...

Anyway, as usual, I will let the pictures speak for themselves:

Quincy Market

My friend Ashley was telling me that for a long time the ceiling in this area of Quincy Market was just a flat surface. After a while, they realized that this beautiful dome was hiding behind there, and so they restored it to it's original grandeur. I could wikipedia for dates and specifics, but I won't.

Faneuil Hall (Yes, it took me a few tries to pronounce it correctly. I like to think I'm a Faneuil-pronouncing pro now.)

I really liked the colors in this subway stop. Perhaps it's slightly dated, but I think it's still fun and definitely photo material. This would be really neat if it was taken with some old film camera. I am hipster enough to own one, but not hipster enough to have brought it with me on this trip, and certainly not hipster enough to know all the technical terms related to that field of photography. So I will continue to refer to it as "old film camera stuff."

Some finds while wandering around Boston while Anna (my traveling companion) was on one of her campus tours for Grad school.

And that's it! I went pretty light on the photos this time. Possibly (Definitely) because it was so cold I was only willing to take my hands out of my coat pockets as seldom as possible. It was still an excellent trip, despite the cold and (in retrospect) very mild snow storms.
