The Hall Family

Let's just start this off with me saying I LOVED this shoot! Jane called me a few weeks prior to us going out to ask if I would take their family photos on their boat. Considering it was late August/early September then, we figured we would have at least until the beginning of October to have good boating weather. As we approached the date we were supposed to go out, we realized it was not going to be such great weather. Thinking Jane would call me and let me know that they were just going to call it off until next year, I sadly resigned myself to that fact. However, the day before we were supposed to go out, I got a call from her, saying they were just going to suck it up and brave the cold! I commended their bravery and then excitedly figured out what time and where we would be meeting.
The day of the shoot was a beautiful sunny day, except for the fact that the temperature was in the high 40s/ low 50s. Yikes! All the kids got out on their surf- and wake boards, though, and I happily got to snap away for a couple of hours. It may have been freezing at the time (and I wasn't even getting in the water), but I think this will definitely be a shoot that everyone in attendance will remember for a LONG time.

Baby Colin was born last week at about 8:30 pm, weighing 7 pounds, 15 ounces and measuring 20 inches long.
Colin, we all were waiting so anxiously at home for you to get here! We tried to be as patient as we could until we got a text at 9:06 pm with a photo of a wide-eyed precious baby boy, announcing your arrival to this family. So excited to see you, we all rushed to the hospital.
On the way, McKenna started crying tears of joy. She's embarrassed about it, but I think it's so sweet! You are in good hands Colin, with your loving grandparents, aunts and uncle, and of course your mom and dad, who have been waiting so anxiously for you.
When we got there you were so awake! And you were so happy! Just staring around the room, you would let out a tiny little yawn, and then continue to stare, first at grandpa as he held you, then Aunt Chloe, Uncle Rob, Aunt McKenna, Nonni, and then me. We watched you as the nurse gave you your first bath in the nursery and then gave you your shots. You didn't like the shots so much, but after about two or three good hard wails, you quieted right back down and were happy again. You are certainly making it easy for your mom and dad. I know they appreciate that.
You bring us all so much joy Colin, and I know your parents love you more than the world!
